The yearly competition decides a National Builder of the Year and 50 Distinguished Builders around the United States - - seven builders in each of seven regions mapped out by Pool & Spa News.

"It is a privilege to present this unique award,’ said Pool & Spa News Publisher Jules Field. "Through this program, the industry recognizes high-caliber construction professionals across the nation. Among that elite group is Artistic Pools, voted a Distinguished Builder for 2000 by its industry peers."

As such, Artistic Pools was featured along with the other honorees in Pool & Spa News March 14 issue. It is the fourth time this company has received the distinction in Region 2, which includes Washington, D.C., and the states of Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Sponsored by Pool & Spa News, a national trade magazine for the swimming pool and spa/hot tub industry, the contest is decided by ballot. It honors those whom industry professionals believe exhibit the highest level of professionalism. Voters are asked to consider six criteria when making their decisions: design skills; construction and remodeling expertise; sales and marketing techniques; business practices; customer satisfaction; and community service.
